It was only a scrimmage
Today in AP gym we played softball on the grass of the varsity baseball field because the girls softball field was full of water at second base. This was a big problem for a lot of us as it seemed to make us say things we didn’t mean to say out loud. Nick Mckenna got sent to the bench for telling Mr. Patrick Lemieux that he didn’t know their was a baby on the field when Mr. Lemieux said “We shouldn’t be playing on the field.” Mr. Lemieux said “Well if I’m a baby why don’t I just send you to the bench Nicholas!”
It was the sweet sounds of the screaming skip that we heard through the locker room at poor Nicholas as we were playing softball on the varsity field. As he came out of the locker room with his big wide grim of a smile we knew we had our gunslinger back. Good thing it was only a scrimmage because we ended up with a tie before we had to switch classes and go inside. Hopefully next time the gunslinger doesn’t open his mouth to the skipper so we don’t lose a serious pitcher for our team. Deer slayer, signing off.
